Event Overview:

Virtual lunch-hour event focused on the ongoing injustices impacting Indigenous women, girls, and gender-diverse people. The talk will focus on the root causes of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Gender-Diverse People (MMIWG2S+) crisis, how it manifests in the community, the community impact and the MMIWG2S+ report and calls to justice.

 

About The Presenter:

Frances Elizabeth Moore, Anishinaabe from Timiskaming First Nations. Storyteller, community advocate, facilitator/educator, non-profit leader, and mother invested in promoting awareness for and healing in First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. Currently works as Program Manager with Ontario Trillium Foundation; consults, facilitates, and guest lectures on Indigenous issues; on LIFE*SPIN and Nii'kinaagana Foundation boards.
