Description:

Developed in the 1970s, somatic therapy focuses on the body's crucial role in trauma healing. These approaches emphasize the integration of body awareness and movement to release stored tension, helping individuals reconnect with their physical and emotional selves.

In this experiential webinar, you'll dive into the practical applications of Somatic Therapy and Polyvagal Theory, discovering new ways to enhance therapeutic attunement and co-regulation. You’ll begin developing your personal profile of autonomic responses and learn techniques to incorporate these practices into your work with clients.

This is an opportunity to explore hands-on, body-focused learning while enhancing both personal and professional development. Build confidence in using Somatic Therapy and Polyvagal Theory in your practice and unlock new tools for healing and connection.

Biography:

Brittany is a Clinic Director at 3 Rivers Counselling and a practicing therapist. Brittany began using mindfulness in her classroom as a school teacher when she saw the need to introduce trauma-informed tools to students. From the success she saw, Brittany shifted directions, completed her MACP and began work with the Integrated Service Delivery Child and Youth team as a counsellor. Today, Brittany continues to grow a thriving therapy practice using mindfulness with other bottom-up approaches to support the nervous systems of her clients and herself.
