Description:

Developed in the late 1980s by psychologist Dr. Francine Shapiro, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) was originally designed to help individuals process traumatic memories. Over time, it has gained widespread recognition as an effective therapy for PTSD, anxiety, and other distressing experiences.

As its popularity grows, many therapists find themselves wondering what EMDR is all about—or fielding questions from clients who want to know if they offer it.

This 1-hour session provides a clear, engaging introduction to EMDR. You'll gain a broad overview of how it works, how it compares to the therapy you already provide, and what makes it unique. This session will answer key questions and guide you on where to learn more. Whether you're considering EMDR training or simply want to be more informed, this workshop will give you valuable insights.

A resource link will be shared for further reading on EMDR research, training, and clinical applications. Join us to explore this transformative therapy!
