SinCC Peer Support: Spirituality Of Animals And Their Meaning To Our Clients

February 19, 2025
12 p.m. - 1 p.m. (EST)

Online

EVENT OVERVIEW

In this SinCC peer support, the spirituality of animals and their meaning to our clients will be discussed. Animals of all kinds, especially the ones sharing our home, can be our spiritual guides and healers if we pay attention. The sociological understanding of companion animals in the lives of their owners is an important component in the counselling setting.

Explored initially from a lens of pet loss and bereavement and then Cultural Competence in pet loss, SinCC members will be able to explore various Western Religions and Traditions to address clients and their pet loss treatment plans.
