Description - Introductory

The percentage of female clients I worked/work with from 2020 to mid-2023 is 40%+. (This number may be higher. The other female clients did not/do not talk about their relationships with their mothers.)  Counselors can assist their female clients in gaining an understanding of how the dysfunctional relationships with their mothers impact their adult lives. This includes the types of abuse these clients experienced/experience: physical, verbal, emotional, psychological, and even sexual. Gaining the insights, as painful as it is, can help these female clients decide what types of relationships they want to have with their mothers. There are times when the healthiest relationship is no relationship, meaning admitting that their mothers will never be what these clients needed/need
