Description:

Many of us as counsellors and therapists are becoming increasingly concerned with the state of the climate. How can we operate our practices in ways that are resonant with our care and concern for the planet? How might our environmental values impact and inform our clinical work? In this webinar, participants will explore a variety of options for addressing these questions, and for expressing their environmental and climate-related values in their practice. Topics will include:

  • Reducing environmental impact
  • Carbon offsetting
  • Marketing, promotion, and branding
  • Professional and not-for-profit affiliations
  • Therapeutic possibilities
  • Ethical considerations.

While a number of possibilities will be discussed in this presentation, this webinar is also intended to be an opportunity for discussion. Participants are encouraged to bring their thoughts, questions, and ideas to share as they feel comfortable.
