Description:

This session will cover key points from section H Use of Electronic and Other Technologies of the CCPA Code of Ethics and gives an introduction of the context and delivery of online counselling. The advantages and difficulties of using various digital technologies professionally will be demonstrated. Furthermore, throughout the event, navigating one's own usage of social media and other online communication platforms will be covered and examined. Upon completing the session, participants will acquire practical techniques for maintaining professional boundaries and conduct when using online therapy and other platforms.

Presenter: 

Rosina Mete is the Director of Faculty at Yorkville University. She is a registered psychotherapist (ON) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. She is on the Board Executive for the CCPA Counsellor Educator & Supervisors Chapter and the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention (CASP). Her educational credentials include a MSc in Clinical Mental Health Counselling and a PhD in Leadership and Policy from Niagara University.
