Description:

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) was originally developed to support individuals living with Borderline Personality Disorder and chronic suicidal behaviours. Since then, a growing body of research has shown DBT to be effective across a wide range of mental health concerns, including major depressive disorder, substance use disorders, eating disorders, ADHD, and PTSD.

This four-part webinar series will introduce you to practical DBT coping strategies that can be immediately integrated into your clinical work. DBT skills training is designed to strengthen clients’ abilities to regulate emotions, manage distress, and navigate relationships more effectively - while also helping ensure these skills generalize beyond the therapy room into everyday life.

Across the series, participants will learn core DBT skills from all four skills modules:

  1. Mindfulness Skills

  2. Distress Tolerance Skills

  3. Emotion Regulation Skills

  4. Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills

Each session will focus on concrete, teachable interventions you can use in individual and/or group therapy, supporting clients who experience emotional, behavioural, and interpersonal challenges. Whether you are new to DBT or looking to refresh and strengthen your skills-based approach, this series offers practical tools you can use right away.
