This workshop introduces a strengths-based and non-pathologizing approach to clinical supervision that will equip supervisors with the knowledge and skills to support neurodivergent therapists and enhance care for neurodivergent clients. The workshop will address the following key areas:

  • Understanding Neurodiversity
  • Integrating evidence, unique client perspectives, and clinical experience
  • Creating an affirming environment
  • Integrating neurodiversity affirming principles into your supervision practice

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Meg Kapil, PhD, CCS, RCC-ACS, has collaborated with the University of Victoria’s Counselling Psychology Program for several years to deliver supervision workshops for clinical supervisors who supervise UVic practicum students. The supervision workshops have included an introduction to supervision theory and practice as well as special topics in supervision.
