About the Presenter:

Zuraida Dada is a seasoned psychologist with over 19 years of experience. Her specializations are Counselling psychology and Industrial/Organisational psychology. Zuraida has been registered as an Industrial/ Organizational for more than 19 years (in South Africa) and has been practicing as an I/O Psychologist and Counselling psychologist since 2007 (in Alberta), since 2021 (in Ontario) and since 2022 (in Nova Scotia, Quebec & New Brunswick). Zuraida is currently completing her PhD in psychology with a focus on post-traumatic growth, resiliency, leadership and thriving. Zuraida is also a seasoned HR professional with close to 30 years of experience in all aspects of Human Resources, in four different countries and across a vast array of industries. Zuraida has received numerous professional awards for both her professional and volunteer work in Psychology, Human Resources, Human Rights and Advocacy. Zuraida has been featured in newspaper and journal articles (2007; 2021; (CPA: Psynopsis Advocacy Issue: 2021) and on two podcasts (2021) (Tides Against Racism & CPA's Mindfull) addressing psychology, human rights and advocacy related issues. Zuraida is an expert contributor on mental health issues on mental health websites and a seasoned speaker, trainer and facilitator and has been the key-note speaker at various events over the course of her 30-year Human Resources career and her 19 year Psychology career, most recently as a speaker at the CPA's 2022 Annual Convention in Calgary.
