Webinar Description:

In this webinar, Lindsey will talk about her experiences in adapting CBT for anxiety and depression in our current circumstances of working remotely. This will include specific skills of how to transition from face-to-face to phone and video therapy. She will also cover general therapy topics such as therapeutic alliance, preparation of sessions, documentation and therapist self-care. Participants will take away specific tips and tricks that they can start using with clients regarding delivery of therapy and how to think outside the box when it comes to helping clients manage anxiety and depression from the confines of their home.

Presenter:  Lindsey Thomson

Lindsey Thomson is a Registered Psychotherapist working at Family Services Ottawa in the Increasing Access to Structured Psychotherapy Program. Lindsey specializes in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and has received over 300 hours of training and consultation. She enjoys working with the CBT framework as it combines her love for teaching and psychotherapy. She has worked with over 80 clients purely working with CBT for a course of 12 treatment sessions. In addition to this, Lindsey is passionate about supporting fellow psychotherapists and counsellors in developing their professional development.
