Participants will explore the spectrum of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), birth and reproductive trauma, perinatal grief and loss, and culturally responsive screening practices. The day includes reflective and experiential components that help participants build empathy, clinical awareness, and culturally attuned care strategies.

* Identify and differentiate between common perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
* Recognize signs of birth trauma, reproductive trauma, and perinatal grief and loss.
* Understand the impact of intersectional and cultural factors in perinatal mental health.
* Apply basic screening and assessment strategies using a culturally responsive lens.
* Reflect on their own biases and assumptions related to the perinatal experience.

Part Two – Clinical Applications
Building on the foundational content, this advanced-level day focuses on applied clinical skills and integration. Topics include perinatal clinical case formulation, systems of support, and treatment planning. Participants will take part in interactive and collaborative learning that encourages critical thinking, bias awareness, and whole-person care approaches. The day concludes with a guided reflection and practical strategies to integrate training concepts into clinical work.
