Webinar Description:

This webinar focuses on the topic of resiliency from the perspective of safe and effective use of self for the therapist during session. This presentation will review the foundation of the concept of resiliency, provide participants with reflective questions to identify personal resiliency factors, identify gaps of effective use of self during session, and present ways that therapists can walk alongside the client while also taking care of themselves during session.

The underlying purpose of the session is to challenge the unspoken assumptions and expectations of self and colleagues that we must be the all-knowing expert whose lives are perfectly put together.

Presenter: Lindsey Thomson

Lindsey Thomson, RP(Qualifying) works as a therapist specializing in CBT in the Increasing Access to Structured Psychotherapy Program through Family Services Ottawa. In addition to this she also has her own business on the side. Lindsey’s original focus of her business was private practice and she has since shifted her focus to supporting other therapists as they grow their careers whether through starting their own private practice, developing therapeutic skills or increasing awareness of deliberate practice.
