Biography: 

Zuraida Dada is a seasoned psychologist with over 18 years of experience. Her specializations are Industrial/Organisational psychology as well as counselling psychology. Zuraida has practiced as an Industrial/ Organizational and counselling psychologist for 18 years (in South Africa), for over 14 years (in Alberta), since 2021 (in Ontario) and since 2022 (in Nova Scotia). She is currently completing her PhD in psychology with a focus on post-traumatic growth, resiliency, leadership and thriving. Zuraida is also a seasoned HR professional with close to 30 years of experience in all aspects of Human Resources, in four different countries and across a vast array of industries. Zuraida has received numerous professional awards for both her professional and volunteer work in Human Rights and Advocacy. Zuraida has been featured in newspaper articles (2007; 2021) and on two podcasts (2021) addressing human rights and advocacy-related issues. Zuraida is a seasoned speaker, trainer and facilitator and has been the keynote speaker at various events over the course of her 30-year career. 

Featured in newspaper articles (2007 & 2021) and in the Canadian Psychological Association article including: CPA Psynopsis: Advocacy Issue, Volume 43, Issue 4, 2021. Presentations in 2022: WINS International Women March 2022, Lancaster House's Toronto Human Rights and Accommodation Conference April 2022 & CPA Convention, Calgary, June 2022.
