Description: 

The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for members to become familiar with our recommended salary range; the how, when and why to direct bill counselling therapy costs to MSI;  to learn what, when and how to end GST/HST payments; sound business practices and the ethics of such in private practice; gaining a better understanding of the new NS Health Act and how it applies to our RCT members; and to answer the participants questions. 

The panel will discuss updates to providing services to Nova Scotians including but not limited to:

  • MSI
  • GST
  • The New Nova Scotia Regulated Heath Professions Act – Bill 323
  • Business Practices Related to the above
  • NSCCT Policy Updates related to the Mass Casualty Report

This will be our first in person get together in over 5 years!

Presenters: 

Moderated by Jean Blackler, the session will be la panel discussion with experts in the field of business, Dr. Kristin Williams and Dr. Ryan Stack, business law, Derrick McEachern, RTC and Julia Smith, RCT (experience with MSI), experience with financial management (Jane), The NS Health Act & NSCCT Registrar, John Hubert, a representative of Impact to guide our Media Op, Laura Rinaldi, and a representative of National Office to present talking points.
