Description:

Shaped by globalization, technology, and political shifts, the 2000s saw significant changes to migration patterns, bringing greater focus to the psychological challenges of immigration and integration. Immigrating to a new country is a journey of profound change, marked by challenges, growth, and transformation. Understanding these dynamics remains essential for fostering resilience, mental well-being, and a sense of belonging in an increasingly interconnected and diverse world.

This workshop explores the psychological aspects of immigration and integration, offering insights and practical tools to navigate this complex experience. Through personal life stories and evidence-based strategies, participants will examine the emotional and psychological impact of change, transition, and transformation. We will explore the process of personal transition, the stages of acculturation, and the ways individuals adapt to new cultural environments. Special attention will be given to coping strategies that promote resilience, mental well-being, and a sense of belonging.

This workshop is designed for therapists to deepen their understanding of the psychological dimensions of migration, providing valuable perspectives and skills to support smoother integration and personal growth in therapeutic practice.
