Existential Analytic Supervision Workshop

Description:  

 

The overall aim of this two-hour workshop is to introduce participants to an existential analytic approach to supervision consultation. During the workshop the participants will have an opportunity to: 

  • Consider, briefly, research findings which led to the development of the existential approach to supervision consultation. 
  • Identify the philosophical position and principles which underpin this existential analytic approach to supervision consultation 
  • Develop understanding of the stages and supervision strategies associated with the existential analytic approach to supervision consultation 
  • Engage in experiential exercises regarding the application of this approach to supervision 
  • Potentially gain insight into how they cope with standout supervision consultation encounters 

 

Presenter: 

 

Dr Glover is a UKCP Registered Therapist; COSRT Senior Accredited Psychosexual Therapist; COSRT Accredited Psychosexual Supervisor; AccCOSRT (Sen) and a Training Consultant. Dr Rita Glover has extensive experience as an Assistant Professor in Psychotherapy and lecturer and Chair of the Professional Diploma in Clinical Supervision, the MSc in Psychotherapy and the Doctorate in Psychotherapy programmes in Dublin City University, Ireland.  

Dr Glover's specialist lecturing, training consultancy and research interests (nationally and internationally) include psychotherapeutic supervision, existential analytic supervision and supervision of supervisors, individual, shared and group supervision, integrative psychotherapy as well as individual, couple therapy and psychosexual therapeutic practice and supervision.
