Event Description:

In this 2 hour webinar, participants will learn about the important elements of psychodynamic conceptualization and intervention; integrating an awareness of the emotion-focused theory and application; in order to identify pertinent treatment plans and intervention strategies. 

Participants will further be sensitized to client-therapist relationship dynamics, importance of identifying core issues, how to work with resistance instead of against it, and to follow the client process effectively, in both short and long-term counselling.

Participants with learn:

·         How to conceptualize client issues using psychodynamic and emotion-focused approaches
·         How to approach short-term and long-term counselling
·         How to use techniques to be more effective 
·         Demystify psychodynamic theory and techniques
·         Integrate emotion-focused elements for effective intervention

About the Presenter: Arash Kameli, RP, CCC

Arash Kameli is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP, CRPO) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. He holds a Masters in Counselling, Psychotherapy & Spirituality. Arash is a Clinical Supervisor for interns at the Counselling, Psychotherapy & Spirituality program at Saint-Paul University in Ottawa and Public Relations Director with QCA in Quebec. He has been in private practice both in Ottawa and Montreal for over 10 years.
