In seasons of long care, heavy stories, and constant responsibility, there are moments when what we need most is not more learning — but more listening.

Between the Lines is a gentle, intimate virtual gathering created for counsellors and psychotherapists who wish to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and return to language as a place of rest, meaning, and renewal. This evening is not a performance and not a workshop. It is a shared space of presence. Together, we will gather around poetry — listening to words that have accompanied us, steadied us, or quietly shaped our inner lives — and allow them to open space for reflection, creativity, and self-care.

Participants are invited to bring with them one meaningful poem. Through gentle facilitation, we will:

- Listen to shared readings in a warm, supportive space

- Reflect quietly on words that resonate

- Engage in guided writing prompts

- Write a short poem of our own — as an act of integration, not performance

No writing experience is required. Only curiosity, presence, and a willingness to listen.

Our Intentions

- To offer a space of restoration and quiet reflection for helping professionals

- To reconnect with language beyond clinical frameworks

- To support self-care through creativity, listening, and meaning-making

- To create a moment of shared humanity within our professional community

Why It Matters

Poetry has long accompanied those who carry complexity, grief, hope, and endurance. For counsellors and psychotherapists, it offers something rare: a place where experience does not need to be explained, diagnosed, or solved — only held. This evening is offered as a form of self-care, reflection, and gentle renewal for those who spend their days caring deeply for others.

Why Attend

- Step into a calm, cozy virtual space at the end of the weekend

- Reconnect with creativity and reflection

- Listen, write, and be present without pressure

- Share a quiet evening in good company

Bring a poem. Bring a candle or a cup of tea. Come as you are.
