The case for digital minimalism in the age of anxiety. In our attention economy we all have limited resources. So what happens when we indebt ourselves? We begin to question our abilities, have a hard time making decisions, isolate and avoid more and more, compare ourselves to others and ultimately experience an overall increase in our anxiety levels, whether we realize it or not. This presentation will focus on the meaning and benefits of digital minimalism. Participants will learn different techniques to experiment with curbing tech use to explore possible unexpected benefits for themselves and clients. If you’ve been feeling shackled to your phone or computer lately, or if you revenge procrastinate, this one’s for you. 

About the Presenter:

Lindsey Thomson is a Registered Psychotherapist and runs her own business, Momentum Mindset. Her work is a mix of individual psychotherapy, clinical supervision and providing mental health education publicly and privately. She is a certified member of the Canadian Association of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and specializes in this mode of treatment. She has received over 300 hours of clinical training focusing on mood and anxiety disorders. In addition to CBT, Lindsey combines a perspective of acceptance and self-compassion based work.
